  • Poetry: What We Mean When We Say Love | September 7, 2023 - April 18, 2024, Thursdays from 4pm to 6pm. What makes someone family? How do you connect with those you love? How do we care for ourselves, our relationships, and the planet? In this workshop, we'll be exploring who, what, and how we love and express care. Through writing and performing spoken word poetry, students will define for themselves what community, family, and connection mean, and don't mean, to them. Whatever the word "love" makes you feel or think of — curiosity or fear or apathy, friends or romance or the ocean — this workshop is for you. Writers and performers of every experience level are welcome.

  • Oral Traditions, Movement and Herbal Medicines: Generational Health - Culture, Traditions, and Sustainability | September 1, 2023 - May 17, 2024, Fridays from 4pm to 6pm. Building sustainable communities through the lenses of culture and tradition. The class will explore, in depth, how communities have sustained themselves. We will define what a community is, and learn how culture and traditions sustain communities, how important it is to create these customs, and how important it is to revisit and change them to reflect the times we are in.
